Vidya Bhati Chinmaya Vidyalaya , situtated in the far east of Jamshedpur has been very thoughtfully named.VIDYA means Education, BHARATI-that which is Indian, CHINMAYA– Pure Knoweldge and VIDYALAYA – an abode of education. So Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya is an abode of education imparting pure Knowledge to the future citizens of India.

THE FOUNDER
With a vision to transform the commoner into an individual of merit Gurudev embarked on a mission of

translating the values mentioned in our scriptures as the common way of life. Thus was born the Chinmaya movement in December 1951, devoted to global spiritual upliftment and Indian cultural renaissance. This led to the start of the Chinmaya Vidyalayas all over the country and abroad. Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya is one such gift to society.

The need was to make a school which would be a pioneer in CBSE education in Jamshedpur and also be able to revive Indian culture among youth, which the school aspired to fulfill.

¬ COURSES OFFERED
The school starts Classes from LKG at the age of 4 and goes up to Class XII where students reach 18 years of age. The courses offered in the school are as per the CBSE and NCERT, preparing students for the AISSE (Class X) and the AISSCE (Class XII) examinations in the Science and Commerece streams.

¬ EXAMINATION

The performance of students in the primary section is continually assessed throughout the year. The senior students have to go through a system of Weekly Tests and two Terminal Examinations to assess the extent of their understanding.

¬ ACTIVITIES

The school provides students a very broad platform for the nurturing of creative talent and development of their skills through a festival named Shankhnaad and also through organization of other programmes and functions throughout the year.
