Jamshedpur was blessed with the presence of His Holiness Swami Chinmayanandaji . He had come to give discourses on the Bhagwad Gita . In the course of his discourses , he happened to mention his vision which had become his Mission . One aspect of that vision was to develop schools which would do away with hollow occidental education - most irrelevant for the Indian children, distancing them from their roots . His vision was to spread all over the country,Chinmaya Vidyalayas where students would be groomed to understand the Indian culture and philosophy to feel proud of being born in such a great country. To develop an integrated personality of the child, emphasis would be laid on imparting the knowledge enshrined in our Scriptures and ultimately prepare the child to be a world citizen.
